About the Reporter
Once behind the studio cameras in 2010, Sarah Bleau returned to Memphis in April 2012 to be in front of the cameras. She is currently a backpack journalist for WHBQ FOX 13 News in Memphis, Tennessee, specifically focusing on the suburbs.
While in Memphis, Sarah received the Children's Hospital Heroes franchise, telling stories about the patients, parents and doctors at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. In a display of her wide reporting range, she also investigated a story about a dirty Clarksdale, Mississippi, Kroger that was closed and cleaned up the same week her story aired.
Prior to reporting in Memphis, Sarah was a one-man-band reporter and fill-in anchor/producer for WFXL FOX 31 in Southwest Georgia. Sarah broke the news there that the Federal Trade Commission conducting an antitrust investigation into a local hospital merger.
It was at Emmy Award winning WEIU-TV NewsWatch in Charleston, Illinois, where Sarah began reporting and anchoring daily for live weeknight newscasts also executing her first live shots there. She became an unofficial state budget correspondent for NewsWatch.
In her spare time, Sarah volunteers for Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. She is a "Unit Buddy" on the hospital's neuroscience and NICU floors, assisting patients and parents with whatever needs they have. She's also a member of the Red Shoe Society for the Ronald McDonald House of Memphis.
